Big Ball - C60 Buckyball

Postby cyberbadger » Thu Dec 02, 2010 3:28 am

Hi all,

This took a while to print all the parts, I didn't design the parts - but I don't see right now pictures of this large of use of the parts on thingverse.

The end shape is similiar to the mesh ball in a ball on thingverse, hexagons and pentagons...

Please note - not all of the individual parts came out completely flat - my UP! was being difficult with me.. But I am happy with the end result.

I only used Y1.stl and Y2.stl for this one:
(Scroll the picture down to get a scale - a 9V battery and a 12 inch ruler)
It looks a lot better in person than this picture!

(The ruler is inches, it's roughly 9 inches in diameter)

Where's the "Big Thumbs-up!" icon when I need it? :D A most excellent print.

I printed the parts again, scaled by 1/2, here shown with my Gerbil, Master Tesla.
